Youth members have been
selling confections since
1912, just two years after
the founding of Camp Fire
Girls. The original founder,
Dr. Luther Halsey Gulick,
created a unique culture of
responsibility and support
for the community. Early
Camp Fire girls supported
and gave back to the
organization that provided
them with rich
programming. Dr. Gulick
believed youth should have
"a desire based upon natural
self-respect and
independence of character."

revenue for the council or
chapter and small group
