Absolutely Incredible Kid Day Celebration
Absolutely Incredible Kid Day began nationally in 1997 as Camp Fire USA’s call to
action urging adults to write letters of love, appreciation, and encouragement to
children. Letter writing lets children know how important they are. A letter is
something a child can hold on to and keep for years to come.
Camp Fire USA Tejas Council has expanded this idea to include a celebration
recognizing local Absolutely Incredible Kids and honoring local adults who have
made important contributions to youth. The celebration honors ten youth through
out each district and focuses on the positive impact youth exhibit in their everyday
lives.
