
Tejas Council's Youth Volunteer Center
Volunteers:
This online center is a way for youth to get actively involved with
making our community a better place to live. This opportunity will be
able to link those willing to serve with local agencies who are in need
of volunteers. Volunteering is beneficial to both the community and to
your future. Volunteer hours can help your college application and can
also help your career goals. If you are interested in signing up to
volunteer please complete the secured registration forms.
Volunteer Center Membership Levels:
Camp Fire USA offers free membership to youth ages 13 - 21.
However, we also invite you to sign up for one of our three paid
levels that offer volunteers even more recognition for your
hard work.
Basic Membership (free) includes:
- Volunteer Registration
- Keep record of hours completed
Bronze Membership ($10) includes:
- Volunteer Registration
- Keep record of hours completed
- Camp Fire Certified hours
- Volunteer Center t-shirt
Silver Membership ($20) includes:
- Volunteer Registration
- Keep record of hours completed
- Camp Fire Certified hours
- Volunteer Center t-shirt
- Volunteer trainings
- Presidential Award (must complete at least 50 hours)
Gold Membership ($30) includes:
- Volunteer Registration
- Keep record of hours completed
- Camp Fire Certified hours
- Volunteer Center t-shirt
- Volunteer trainings
- Presidential Award (must complete at least 50 hours)
- CPR/First Aid Training
- End-of-Year Appreciation Dinner
Tejas Council Volunteer Scholarship
Camp Fire USA Tejas Council will be awarding a $500 scholarship
January 2010 to the youth who completes and logs the most volunteer
hours. You must have registered on the Bronze, Silver, or Gold
membership levels to be eligible for this scholarship. The hours
considered will be hours logged from January 1, 2009 through
December 31, 2009.
Agencies:
Agencies throughout Waco and surrounding communities are
encouraged to sign up with the Camp Fire Youth Volunteer Center.
Signing up with the volunteer center, encourages today's youth to
make a difference and get involved with their community. We
encourage you to post all your volunteer events on the Camp Fire
website, so youth have the opportunity to view them and register to
participate in them. New for 2009. Camp Fire personnel will contact
you either by phone or e-mail to register your agency, update your
agencies information, and update your volunteer opportunities. You will
no longer have to complete this process yourself *.
*Agencies will be asked to fill out a Non-Discrimination Policy,
Partnership Agreement, fill out a Registration Form and complete a
Volunteer Opportunity Form. You will not be responsible for putting
your information on the website, Camp Fire personnel will now
complete this step.
