Art and Science: and the World Around Us 2009 Memories
Summer is winding down and it's time to get back into school. Camp Fire
USA Tejas Council and the Art Center of Waco shared some great times
with the Art and Science: and the World Around Us summer camp. Each
day was full of art projects, nature projects, outdoor activities, and science
experiments. We hiked the trails of Cameron Park and canoed the winding
Bosque River. We made our own homemade ice cream, and made our own
personalized candles. Summer has come and gone but our summer
memories will always stay with us. Camp Fire USA and the Art Center Waco
would like to thank the many volunteers who helped in every aspect of
delivering a successful summer camp to such wonderful youth who
participated.
Summerville Explorers 2008 Memories
The explorers of the 2008 summer program took some exciting field trips
around Waco. They got to visit the Art Center Waco, the Mayborn Museum
Complex, the Armstrong Browning Library and the Cobbs Convience
Center. The explorers also got to take a dip in the Talitha Koum swimming
pool every Thursday afternoon. They learned about different aspects of
recycling from Megan and Rob from the Waco Solid Wast Services.
